We are hiring! We are looking for an associate attorney to start immediately. This is an excellent opportunity for an Associate Attorney to join our firm and gain valuable experience in a fast-paced legal environment.

Applicants should preferably have three-years’ experience, and proficiency in the area of administrative law including Chapters 119 and 120, Florida Statutes. Experience or background in environmental matters a plus. Must be barred in Florida, bar admission in other states a plus. This is an in-office position in Tallahassee. Salary is commensurate with experience. Includes medical, dental and vision insurance, 401k, profit sharing plan, and end-of-year bonus.

Responsibilities:

– Conduct legal research and analysis on various legal issues
– Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and contracts
– Assist in negotiating and drafting agreements and contracts
– Represent clients in court hearings and other legal proceedings
– Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and act as co-counsel
– Provide legal advice and guidance to clients

Qualifications:

– Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
– Admission to the Florida Bar
– Knowledge and experience with Chapter 120, F.S.
– Strong research, writing, and analytical skills
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Bonus Skills a Plus:

• Experience with Environmental matters and permitting
• Experience with licensure law
• Experience working as an attorney at a state agency
• Experience with software including Westlaw, Lexis/Nexis, Microsoft Office Suite, and case management software
